  Tuesday Gravel Ride

  FRONT & BACK LIGHTS REQUIRED!

  When: 1.5 to 2 hours- please arrive 15 minutes early 

  Where: Red Leg Brewery (park near Loaf N' Jug in dirt parking lot)

  How: No-Drop ride with occasional effort with full regroup

  Route will be through Garden of the Gods to Old Colorado Springs, up Crystal Hills Blvd into Red Rocks.  We will hit some fairly tame single track and gravel roads before finding pavement again and heading back.  The return trip will take us over to Pikes Peak Greenway Trail and back up Sinton Trail to Red Leg.  Total distance is approximately 21 miles and almost 2,000ft of climbing.  There is a little more road riding on this route than usual for a gravel ride, but it will give us a chance to chat and stay together until the single track begins.  If you can, please consider biking to the event.  We will meet in the dirt parking lot close to Loaf N' Jug so park at that end if you are driving. 

  This ride is open to members and prospective members (first ride only with waiver)).  SOCO Velo has a 30-day trial membership that we encourage prospective members to join if you would like check out our club and ride with us!

  Details: Join us for a group ride, we aim to return before dark! 

  Criterium has restrooms and drinking fountains that you can use before the ride. The Criterium mechanics are also there for last minute emergencies with your bike.

  Where/ Route: Meet at Criterium to Palmer Lake (out and back total of ~40 miles).

  Co-leaders: Looking for Volunteers - With enough folks we can have the option of two groups if there is interest. to accomodate all levels.

  How: No-Drop ride with occasional effort with full regroup- front and rear lights required. 

  Details:  Gravel ride, with a few hard efforts, and regrouping at multiple stops. There are no places to stop, please ensure you have plenty of hydration and snacks.

  RIDE OF SILENCE MULTI CLUB RIDE

  This multi-club ride is being hosted by The Colorado Springs Cycling Club in conjunction with the City of Colorado Springs.  Join us for a Ride Of Silence on May 15, 2024 at 7:00 pm.  

  This ride will be held as part of the annual, global Ride Of Silence.  The Ride Of Silence is held to both honor cyclists who have been injured or killed in accidents on public roadways, and to raise public awareness that cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists.

  The local ride will be about nine miles long. We will maintain a speed of 8-10 mph but no more than 12 mph, and we will ride completely in silence.  The ride is free and open to all cyclists and all types of bikes.  Our Colorado Springs ride will begin and end at the Colorado Springs City Hall. 

   All riders must wear helmets during the ride, have front and rear lights, and sign a waiver on the day of the ride.

  Join in for a social 20-25 mile ride from Trinity Brewing and then stay to socialize and enjoy Trinity's delicious brunch options!  Champagne optional! 

  When:  0800am for 2 hours (rolling at 0800)

  Where:  Trinity Brewing off Garden of the Gods Road 

  How:  No-drop ride with occasional efforts.  Approximately 20-25 miles.  

  This ride is open to SOCO Velo members only and prospective members (FIRST RIDE ONLY WITH WAIVER).  We do offer a free 30 day trial membership if you know someone who would like to ride but is not yet a member.
