Due to popular demand and because life is better on a bike, we are back for another SoCoVelo women's road ride!!!
This ride will leave from Criterium, go north to Rockrimmon, do a little bit of climbing up and over Rockrimmon to Mark Dabling - hit the Santa Fe Trail for a bit - get on Polk and Cascade - on the Greenway Trail to America the Beautiful - and then back to Criterium via the Greenway and Santa Fe trails. The route description is here: https://www.strava.com/routes/20188893. The ride will be ~ 20 miles and ~850 ft of climbing. Anticipated ride time is 1.5-2 hours. We will regroup various times along the way and will have a sweeper in back to make sure no one gets lost. We will also bring some printouts of the route with marked regroup locations in case you find yourself between the lead and sweeper. We will ride a combination of road/bike path/hard-packed trail, so road or gravel bike will be best!
The goal of these rides is to bring women from all over Colorado Springs together to ride. All abilities are welcome, and no one will be left behind!
We had a fantastic turnout and time last time. Let's see if we can make this one even better.
If you plan on riding, please RSVP, so that we can print the appropriate number of maps, etc. Also, please park across the street from Criterium in the empty restaurant lot rather than at Criterium. We want to leave the parking spots for their customers.
