A 2014 psychological study found that cyclists have a unique blend of intelligent generosity and the "cool" factor. (And the cool factor goes up exponentially when you ride with a whole bunch of awesome women!). If that isn't a reason to get out on your bike, we don't know what is!
With that said, join us for our next SoCoVelo women's ride! You don't have to be a member of the club to join--all ladies are welcome!
We will leave Criterium Bicycles at 9 am. This ride be ~23 miles long and will involve a bit more climbing than the last two rides (~1,700 ft). It will go south on the bike path to Cascade, down to Monument Valley Park, over the highway via the foot bridge, up Mesa and Flying W, up and over Woodmen (The hardcore climbers can add on Blodgett!), and then back to the shop. All our women's rides are no-drop social rides, and all abilities are welcome. We will have a lead in front and a sweeper in back to make sure that no one will be left behind. We will also bring maps showing the ride route and designated regroup points, so that you cannot get lost.
A road or gravel bike will work best for this ride as it will be on road, and paved and unpaved bike path.
Special note: Please park across the street from Criterium in the empty lot instead of in their parking spots. We want to leave their parking spots for their customers.
