Start, Route & Ride
Meet in the Fountain Library parking lot at 8am and be ready to get wheels rolling no later than 8:15am (we've got to make breakfast before they close at 10am).
The route is 40 miles with around 1,500 feet of elevation gain. You can view the route online for more details. It will be a no-drop ride with a full regroup at food. Typical pace is 14+mph with options for faster riders to go ahead and could double back.
Hydration & Fuel
We are not sure if the fire department is still doing breakfast, so make sure to be prepared with enough food and water in case they are not. But if they are...around the halfway point the group will stop at the Hanover Fire Station to eat. It's a cash breakfast with many breakfast items made to order. Would estimate around 5 dollars would set you up plus it's nice to drop a good tip since it's a fundraiser.
Typically the group will finish before noon back at the library. Please RSVP if you'll be attending so those going will know who to look for.
Possible ride down & back
Potential ride down and back: sometimes this ride can included an optional extra ride down to the start and back after the loop. If interested in this option (makes it about an 80 mile day, here's an example) please email info@socovelo.com. To express interest and to find out if there are folks doing this option.
